China Lite & Gas Lite Lounge in Marysville

Went here on Friday night and the place was empty. We got Kung Pao and garlic chicken, which was sub par. The chicken in both the dishes tasted stale and rice tasted undercooked. After we left the place, our stomach started feeling weird in few hours. The only thing that we liked was the service. Not going to go back.

Great staff, very good food

I’m honestly amazed on how people can say good things about this restaurant, first of all the orange chicken was incredibly dry, flavor wasn’t really there and the fried rice didn’t taste like fried rice should. I don’t know why people rated this 4 stars and up. Will not recommend or visit again. Another issue I had was the portions rice was reasonable but the orange chicken was absolutely ridiculous I paid $9+ for takeout and received about half the value for what I paid.

Blazing noodle is amazing! You have to order this dish! Eddi cooks delicious Chinese food! At some point even better than Chinese chef I wish I could give him 10 stars. Excellent customer service! Love the dinning environment!!!

Saturday night and was just looking for take out. Well they did an amazing job! Very pleased.

I was happy to return to China Lite today after it being closed for a while. However, it appears to have been taken over by new management that was not very friendly, despite leaving the same name and decor. The one significant variable that has changed is the food. Not anything like it was before the change over. The food now tastes like every other Chinese takeout. The Sergeant Chang dish I got each time was overdone and had little taste. Below was my review from 4 years ago when I first went here. Please bring back the original recipes/cooks(the recyclable takeout dishes too).“BOMB FOOD. Just moved to the area and wanted to find a good place for Chinese food, I didn't realize it would be the BEST fast-food Chinese food I've ever had. The shrimp and chicken dishes are awesome. The name does not lie, the food is also surprisingly lite. I go here at least a few times a month as their food is consistently awesome”

I really loved going to China Lite since owners were very welcoming and food was good with great price.Today, I ordered my usual, beef fried rice, and a piece of iron sponge was in the fried rice.I showed that iron sponge piece, and they said "Sorry, it happens after washing the wok with the sponge."It was absurd.Also, they charge me the full price of the fried rice after what happened.I will not go back there.People, please advise there might be a piece of iron sponge in your dish when you go in!

Wonderful staff, I am remembered when i go there and they treat me like family. The best crab puffs, am so addicted to them! Best Chinese food in metro-phoenix

Double Disappointment! A couple months ago we were saddened to see our favorite restaurant China Lite closed. And even sadder when it looked to be permanent. Imagine our surprise to see it opened again today. I couldn’t wait to order the Specials found hand written on a chalk board at the register. I was surprised to find no specials and no chalkboard. The manager telling me they are working on getting the recipes. I placed an order to go and again was disappointed to see they are using styrofoam containers instead of the recyclable plastic ones they used to have. This is not the same China Lite we enjoyed in the past. I hope that this is not just a corporate buyout to keep the name. If not, I hope they figure out how to make the food more authentic like before!

My food is always super hot (temp wise) and full of flavor. This is a popular lunch spot. Very friendly staff that treats you like family. This is now my new favorite Chinese restaurant!

Some of the best (and fairly priced) chinese food in the valley. They are locally, small business owned and a great spot for pick up or dine in.

Love the location. Quaint indoor/outdoor areas. View of the mountains when sitting up front by the door. The staff are warm and welcoming. Our waiter was prompt and knowledgable and was respectful of our space and time. The food was on point. I had the Spring Rolls (deliciously golden browned and crisp) Szechuwan Beef (the beef was so flavorful and tender) dinner plate and my fiancee had the Garlic Chicken dinner plate. We both got fried rice. So happy we did. We would have fought over the rice otherwise haha. The fried rice is just that good. Highly recommend this place to all!

Favorite dish is the spicy shrimp, enjoy lunch for next to nothing. Food has an authentic taste to it. Not your regular Chinese place. Clean and upscale and courteous staff.

This place has been there since 1997 same owners very small but is nice and clean they just remodeled year 2013 you cannot find a price like that anymore in Arizona is authentic and healthy, not many people know this place not greasy not salty very tasty food

BEST Chinese food restaurant and I don't like Chinese food, generally! Nice atmosphere, good service, and DELIOUS Chinese "fusion" food; fusion must mean 'absolutely fantastic'! I even nibbled from everyone else's plate and did all the food to taste great. The place is tucked away so make sure you know how to find it before starting out. Please go and as always: enjoy! :)

This is the best little china place in Scottsdale. Fresh light not heavy. Really catering torward vegans and vegetarian. I highly recommend them to any one

Very strange experience !Walk up and there are four little kids outside the door of place belonging to the one waitress hostess.Ordered chicken wraps and they were good.Ordered pad Thai and crispy beef both total duds .Plate was dirty.Plus side: the food was hot, appeared to be clean in the eating area and the waitress was nice .Would def skip this place though unless you are in a real crunch .

Great lunch spot. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the newly remodeled interior is nice and inviting. The service is always friendly (I believe the woman who has served me the few times I have been there is the owner). The food is tasty and an excellent value. It seems a little less oily or greasy than something you would get at other Chinese food take out spots.

The previous owners were amazing. Their service was impeccable and the food was absolutely the best I've had in the valley. Since the original owners sold the business off, the food and service has suffered terribly. Everything I ordered was greasy beyond belief and simply left a very bad taste in my mouth... In more than one way. Egg rolls were soggy, beef and chicken were severely overdone and the seasoning is just not what it was. It's sad to see a favorite spot nosedive in this fashion and I will truly miss this gem of a spot as I will no longer patron this business. Best reccommendation... Just stay away. There are still great Chinese inspired resturants around. But not this one. Previous owner KC Chang and his wife were great at what they did and they both will be missed by this regular guest. Thanks for the smiles and for always knowing my order... You both are amazing people.

Very great food! I’m a very picky eater, since not a lot of places accommodate my eating restrictions! I love Thai food and Chinese food and China Lite and Malee’s in oldtown Scottsdale are my two favorite places! Give them a try, they won’t disappoint.

Stopped by on a whim at lunch and I am very glad I did. Got seated right away even though they were busy Ordered the Sergeant Chang Chicken. Food was out no more than 10 minutes after I sat down. Food was flavorful, just the right level of spice, and a good portion size for the price. Friendly, fast service, good food, good price. I will be back.

Good food, nice casual environment. One dish I got, a curry noodle dish, did not have the vegetables described on the menu and noodles could have used a lot more sauce, more chicken, more veggies. Had a bit of chicken and a few red peppers which wasnt listed on description either. Noodles were on the dry side. Orange chicken, fried rice and crab puffs were all very good as was the service. I will go back.

This was the most horrible Chinese food I have ever had. The wonton soup was gross. The wontons were so disentigrated that the soup was a white colored mush. I had the Dandan noodles which were even worse. The noodles were one big blob of over cooked paste. I could not even eat it. So disappointed.

Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and brown rice. So yummy and spicy! I'm happy I stopped.

Have tried to call and order food around 10-15 minutes before there advertised closed time of 8pm and no one answers and when we drove by the lights are turned off. Very unprofessional way to run a business!!!!

By far the best Chinese food in Arizona

Gross! I went in on a Friday at 11:30 am. Called in order first. Arrived 15 minutes later as required. Order was not ready as promised. That's OK though, debit card machine was down. Left and came back with cash. Food still not ready. FINALLY got my food home. Sauce on orange chicken was plain nasty. Clearly leftover from Thursday. Mostly tasted like chilli. Fried rice may have been left over. Not sure. Had almost no flavor. Egg roll and crab puffs were okay, but not noteworthy. I'll never go back.

The staff is friendly! This is my second time here and I ordered the chicken and eggplant lunch special. It was excellent and prepared quickly! The lunch specials come with an egg roll...but I ate it immediately so it is not featured in my photo.

Service was very good and staff were friendly and helpful! Brown rice was not good in my opinion, but I loved the Spicy Beef!

Family and I liked it, flavors are good and prices are reasonable. In my opinion there are a lot of good chinese restaurants in Phoenix areas, this one is not on my top list, but I can see several people like it a lot.Presentation of dishes is pretty good, service is outstanding, food came out very quick.
